🎮 Gameplay: This a very nice, easy, colorful game, featuring the habitats and wildlife of the Pacific North West.
🐻In this tile-laying game, you take turns, building your own terrain, with habitat tiles and populating it with wildlife tokens.
🦊In each turn you choose a habitat tile (hex) paired with a wildlife token (from 4 pairs in display) and place this tile next to the other ones în frontnof you, then place the wildlife token on a habitat tile that allows you to do this.
🦌There are 5 types of habitat (Mountain, Forest, Prairies, Wetlands, Rivers) and 5 types of wildlife (Bear, Elk, Fox, Salmon, Hawk).
Also you have nature tokens (Pinecone) that you can use to wipe (change) wildlife tokens in display or pick of your choice the wildlife token (usually you have to take in pairs: wildlife token with habitat tile).
🐟Your goal is to make points based on 5 Wildlife scoring cards. These cards shows you what and how you can score points (different rules for wildlife tokens as in, number of some animals, their position or their arrangement etc).
🌲Also, you will score points based on the largest area of each type of habitat. And some bonuses.

🆑 Concusion : I very liked my first games of Cascadia. I have always liked tile laying games, so this one was just another brick in the wall. The art is very nice, the rules are simple to teach and learn, and the components are top notch. Even if it is an easy game, maybe some scoring cards will need more attention to understand how they work.
There are also more strategies on how you can make the best out of your game.
I want to try the solo mode and see how it goes with the achivments.
